No big surprises on the Eagles’ inactive list against the Raiders.

The following players are inactive:

RT Lane Johnson (foot)
DT Jalen Carter (shoulders)
QB Sam Howell (emergency QB)
RB A.J. Dillon
CB Mac McWilliams
OLB Joshua Uche

Both Johnson and Carter were ruled out on Friday after missing the entire week of practice. This is Johnson’s fourth missed game but there’s a chance he could be back next weekend in Washington. Johnson suffered a Lisfranc sprain in his foot against the Lions.

In Johnson’s place, veteran Fred Johnson will get another start. Johnson suffered an ankle injury during the week but is good to go.

This is Carter’s second consecutive missed game after having a procedure on both shoulders. Without him last week, the Eagles’ defensive line got a ton of pressure on Justin Herbert. They should be able to get after Kenny Pickett on Sunday. The Raiders have allowed more sacks than any team in the NFL this year.

Without Carter, rookie Ty Robinson is active for the second straight week. Against the Chargers, the Eagles also bumped Brandon Graham inside and that is expected to continue this week.

The Eagles on Saturday elevated safety Andre’ Sam from the practice squad. He is active. This is his third and final elevation. If the Eagles want him up after this, they’ll need to add him to the 53-man roster.
