SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — On Sunday, Lace Village was filled with vendors and shoppers alike braving the cold to enjoy a mid-day Holiday Market.

From 11 to 6, attendees browsed through over 60 vendors showing off everything from handmade candles, to clothing, local wineries, pottery, and more. It’s the second year that Lace Village has hosted the holiday market and despite concerns about the weather, property manager Michael Basalyga, said it was better than they could’ve expected.

“We were thrilled. We didn’t know, yeah, we had some weather last night. We didn’t know how that was going to affect the outcome, but we are pleasantly surprised people showed up. The vendors are happy. Everybody’s having a great time.”

Basalyga said that they’ll continue this newfound tradition next year and that after a new permanent market opens inside Lace village in early 2026, the future markets are only going to get bigger and better.
