SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A woman who was struck by a vehicle on Thursday along Harrison Avenue in Scranton has died from her injuries.

The Lackawanna County Coroner’s Office said Rai Minaxiben, 63, of Scranton, died from injuries after she was struck by a vehicle.

Authorities said Minaxiben and another pedestrian were struck by a vehicle around 5 p.m. in the area of Harrison Avenue and Mulberry Street.

Minaxiben was taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center and admitted to the trauma unit. She subsequently died from her injuries on Friday afternoon, the coroner said.

The other pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The Scranton Police Department is investigating the crash.
