(HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) — The Ritz Theatre Company presents Company by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth weekends from January 9 to February 1, 2026. The musical asks the question: what does it mean to be alive, alone, and in love in the city that never sleeps?
Outwardly charismatic, popular, and surrounded by friends, Robert, a confirmed bachelor, appears to be doing well for himself. However, on the night of his 35th birthday, Robert sits alone in his New York apartment deeply conflicted, emotionally detached, and unsure of what he wants from life and relationships. Robert confronts these feelings through a series of disconnected, yet emotionally revealing memories of time spent with romantic partners, and those “good and crazy people” – his married friends.
This Stephen Sondheim and George Furth classic returns to the Ritz stage after 39 years. Featuring some of Sondheim’s most memorable music and characters, Company is sure to tug at the heartstrings of their audiences.
The production is Directed & Choreographed by Matthew Weil with Music Direction by Nancy Dickinson. Company features Music & Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a Book by George Furth.
Performances take place Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm; Sundays at 2:00pm; with an additional matinee on Saturday, January 17 at 3:00pm; and performances on Wednesday, January 21st and 28th at 7:30pm.
