An 80-year-old Texas Twp. man — who had been reported missing — was pronounced dead on Friday afternoon, the Wayne County coroner’s office announced.
The coroner’s office responded to 485 Long Ridge Road, Palmyra Twp., after the homeowner remotely accessed his home video surveillance, observed a deceased person in his driveway and called 911, according to a news release.
Mark M. James, the county’s chief deputy coroner, pronounced Thor Korneliussen dead at the scene Friday at 2:10 p.m., per the release.
Korneliussen, who was last seen in the area of Lock Street in Texas Twp. on Thursday at 11 p.m., had been reported as a missing endangered person by the Pennsylvania State Police at Honesdale, officials said.
An autopsy was performed Monday, the coroner’s office announced. The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.
