Cheryl Ann Angeli
OBITUARY
Cheryl Ann Angeli, 69, of Old Forge, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend passed away unexpectedly Sunday at her home. Her loving husband of 52 years is Tony Angeli.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Joseph and Clare Foy Sibio, she was a graduate of West Scranton Central Catholic School. Cheryl worked with her husband Tony at his company Angeli Pipe Organ Company for many years. She also worked as a realtor at Frank P. Golden Realty and ERA. Recently, she also was employed by WalMart for nearly 15 years. Above all else, Cheryl devoted her life to her family. They were the absolute center of her existence.
Those who knew her understood that she was as close to an angel on earth as one could be. She possessed the sweetest soul, was gentle, and endlessly giving. Her unconditional love was open to all. She had a rare ability of making others feel safe, seen, and deeply loved. She was an extraordinary wife and mother. She gave without expectation and loved without limits. The bond she shared with her family was profound, and her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled. The world is quieter without her, but immeasurably better because she was in it.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Carolyn Calabro (husband Pete), Missy Wickizer (husband Kenny), Victoria Berkoski (husband Bryan), April Burti (husband Scott), Anthony Angeli (wife Ashley), Michael Angeli (wife Alicia), and Joey Angeli (fianc Ciara); grandchildren, Louis, Cole, Gabriella, Chloe, Bella, Maia, Caesar, Noah, Gino, P.J., Santina, and Atlas; her siblings, Joseph B. Sibio Jr., Michael Sibio (wife Chris), John Sibio (wife Janet), and Jim Sibio; and her son Mike’s beloved English Bulldogs Frank and Ruthie, whom she adored and called her furgrandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9:15 AM from Ferri & Gillette Funeral Services, LLC, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in Prince of Peace Parish, 123 W. Grace St., Old Forge to be celebrated by Father Walter E. Jenkins, C.S.C., EdD., Pastor. Interment will be private.
Family and friends are invited to public viewing on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. To leave an online condolence visit the funeral home website or Facebook page.
