READING, Pa. – Reading City Council voted 4-3 against appointing Adrian Jadic, Wyomissing, as the city zoning administrator Monday night.
Jadic was nominated by Mayor Eddie Moran for the position.
Council President Donna Reed, along with Councilmembers Vanessa Campos, Chris Miller and Rafael Nunez voted against Jadic.
The matter was discussed by council in a closed-door executive session prior to the vote. No additional details were discussed in public.
Banner display on bridges
In other business, council authorized the public works director with the discretion to approve the installation of banners celebrating and displaying the work of high school student artists on city bridges.
The installation costs will be covered by the Berks Arts Fast Lane Art juried contest and exhibition.
The banners will be displayed until the city’s traditional holiday banners are installed.
