Dylan John Smith

OBITUARY

With profound sadness, we share that Dylan John Smith, 16, of Taylor, left this world far too soon on December 12. Born in Scranton on October 5, 2009, Dylan was the beloved son of Sara Elizabeth Calder and his stepfather, John Borie.

A sophomore at Riverside High School, Dylan was a proud member of the Vikings football team. His love for music and computer games reflected his joyful spirit and curiosity. Dylan dreamed of becoming a mechanic and was eager to work at his girlfriend’s family garage – a career path he looked forward to pursuing after graduation.

Dylan’s memory will be cherished by his brother, Michael Giehll; sisters, Cheyanne Richards, Emily Calder, and Hannah Smith; nephew, Javier Cortez; his girlfriend, Giulliana Labora; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. He is reunited in peace with his brother, Nathan William Smith, who preceded him in death.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dylan’s memory on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Riverside High School, 310 Davis Street, Taylor and we ask that you wear comfortable clothing.

Arrangements are entrusted to Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union Street, Taylor.

Dylan’s bright smile, kind heart, and boundless potential will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Please consider making a donation to Vikings Helping Vikings, in his memory.
