Erie is getting a major boost with over $4.5 million for community projects.

One highlight finds that the East Side Renaissance will use $666,000 to transform vacant properties on Parade Street into a full-service healthcare facility.

The funding comes from Pennsylvania’s Neighborhood Assistance Program, which supports nonprofits working to revitalize communities.

The new center will take over the properties at 908, 910, and 912 Parade Street. It will offer primary care, dental services, and a pharmacy, focusing on helping low-income residents in the 16503 ZIP code.

The East Side Renaissance is hoping to start construction in early 2026, with the hope of completing the project by the fall of 2027.
