READING, Pa. – Fans of Greek food are getting their fill in Reading this weekend.
The Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Food Festival is back. This is the 56th year of the festival.
A line formed to get in before the doors opened this afternoon.
The menu includes the popular Greek chicken and fish platters, as well as gyros, fries and lots of desserts.
Organizers say they’ve managed to hold the line on prices for the past three years.
They say preparations started back in June, and everything is homemade.
“It’s a true community effort between the ladies who do the baking, the men do the cooking, and there’s also planning for entertainment, all the supplies, it’s like putting on a Broadway production,” said Chris Dikos, festival chairman.
The festival continues until 8:00 p.m. on Friday night.
It resumes Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from  12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
