Scranton Prep overcame a record-setting effort by Leo Cholish to defeat Holy Cross, 94-37, in a Lackawanna League boys swimming meet Wednesday at the University of Scranton Byron Complex Pool.
Cholish broke a pair of school marks. He won the 50 freestyle in 22.83 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 23.50. He also touched first in the 100 butterfly in 54.67 seconds, topping the previous record of 58.01.
Lukas Iannone had individual wins in the 200 free and 100 breast and also swam on two victorious relay teams for Scranton Prep. Ben Kessler and Gavin Gallagher each added one individual and two relay wins for the Cavaliers, while Matthew Cohen swam on three winning relays.
