READING, Pa. – The proprietor of a bar in Reading is looking to give back this holiday season.

The owner of Topher’s Tenth and Elm Cafe plans to give out 50 meals to folks in need.

He’s asking anyone who wants a meal to send the cafe a message on Facebook explaining why they need help.

Entries are due by Saturday night.

“This is our first year doing this. My boss usually does something every year but it’s usually more localized. It’s usually someone he knows or something like that. But we’ve been so blessed this year that he wanted to expand it and do it on a bigger scale,” said bartender Rahim Mathies.

The bar’s owner says he hopes to hand out the meals early next week.
