HARRISBURG, Pa. – A judge has sentenced a Northampton County man who possessed child sexual abuse material to more than 100 years in prison.
Judge Brian Panella sentenced 67-year-old Ricky Raisner to 110 to 500 years on more than 50 felony counts, according to a news release from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.
Raisner was convicted in July on all charges, the AG’s office said. He had been charged with more than 50 felonies.
The AG’s office said Judge Panella noted the very young ages of the children involved in the images shown during the trial, and the egregious acts depicted.
The Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section responded to a tip and traced an IP address to Raisner’s Mount Bethel home, the AG’s office said in its news release.
Agents executed a search warrant at the home and seized devices containing child sexual abuse material, the AG’s office said.
“We hope this sentence sends a clear message that possessing child sexual abuse material is exploitation and abuse of children, and will be treated with such severity in court,” Attorney General Dave Sunday said.
“Our Child Predator Section continues to uncover individuals across the Commonwealth viewing, collecting, and sharing these vile materials — that work will not stop.”
