The National Weather Service issued a report at 1:28 p.m. on Friday for snow until 3 p.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie.
“At 1:23 p.m., radar indicated an area of moderate to locally heavy snow along the lakeshore counties from Willoughby to Erie Pennsylvania, moving east at 25 mph. This area of snow will impact motorists traveling on Interstate 90 and Route 20,” says the weather service.
Locations impacted by the alert include Erie, Painesville, Ashtabula, Conneaut, Chardon, Fairport Harbor, Geneva-On-The-Lake, Mentor, Willoughby, Eastlake, Edinboro, Geneva, North East, Madison, Girard, North Kingsville, Perry, Waterford, Albion and Timberlake. Use extra caution if you must travel. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to accidents.
