Organizers of Presque Isle Lights announced that tonight’s event has been canceled due to hazardous weather conditions, including freezing temperatures, snow, strong winds, ice, downed trees, and power issues following heavy rain and a thaw earlier this week.
As a result, donation booths will be closed and several light displays, especially battery-powered ones, will remain off.
Weather is expected to improve Saturday, Dec. 20, and organizers plan to resume the full Presque Isle Lights experience over the weekend.
Visitors are encouraged to stay safe and enjoy the holiday season.
