Students visited the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce for a job shadowing experience on Friday.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Students took part in a job-shadowing experience at the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce on Friday.

Northeast Sight Services students followed staff through day-to-day operations at the chamber offices in Wilkes-Barre, learning about professional roles and career pathways.

Officials say the experience helps students gain confidence as they prepare for real-world settings and professional environments.

“The program so far has been pretty fun. I’ve enjoyed all the experiences we’ve had, by experiences I mean, going to different places and learning about what each place does,” said Anthony Basilyo, Northeast Sight Services student.

Northeast Sight Services supports young adults with vision loss as they prepare for life outside of high school.
