A Chester County man was killed in a crash on Route 422 in Exeter Township on Wednesday.
According to police, a sedan driven by Darren Rosenberger, 34, of Spring City rear-ended a tractor-trailer in the westbound lanes of the 7000 block of Benjamin Franklin Highway — the name of Route 422 in the eastern end of the township in the Baumstown area — just after 11 p.m.
Rosenberger was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in his vehicle, whom police did not identify, was taken to Reading Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the crash.
The westbound lanes of Route 422 were closed for several hours following the crash. The incident is still under investigation.
