PITTSTON, Pa. — On Saturday, at the Zarra Building in Pittston, the county partnered with Midwest Food Bank and Fork Over Love to distribute hot meals and produce, including eggs, milk, and vegetables, to more than 60 cars.
“The needs of the community, you know, as far as nutrition service and things like that, are very high this time of year. It’s cold. People need, you know, good food, nutritious food, and we’re just happy to be out here trying to help,” said Luzerne County Council’s Chris Belles.
Organizers say they hope to have more food distributions to help residents in Luzerne County.
