BETHLEHEM, Pa. – It was a packed house on the final day of Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem on Sunday and the Sunflower Trading Company booth was no exception.

“From start to finish we had really good weather. We had a little hiccup on Friday this time with that big storm, but other than that it’s incredible,” said Daniel Durantaye with Sunflower Trading Company.

Durantaye is with the Maryland-based company.

He has been selling hats and clothing he travels overseas to get to sell here.

“All the things that we do in here and all the styles that we carry just have kind of evolved over time to like the people’s taste here and the customers here are so incredible. Just they like nice stuff, so we try to buy nice stuff,” said Durantaye.

“We’ve had a very good year. Certainly better than last year,” said Michael Hinly, a sales associate with Kathe Wolfahrt.

At Kathe Wohlfahrt, ornaments have flown off the shelves.

Hinly said he has seen a lot of familiar faces as people continue to build their ornament collections.

“Oh, it’s magical. I mean we have a lot of unique things here and being apart of Kathe Wolfahrt has been great, but also being apart of Christkindlmarkt just makes the season that much more magical,” said Hinly.

Businesses we spoke with said the holiday market keeps getting better.

“I think it’s been a really good year and just the best one ever,” said Durantaye.
