White House officials are calling talks today to end the nearly 4-year-war between Russia and Ukraine —productive and constructive.

As the Trump administration presses for peace, Ukrainians around the world are celebrating another Christmas with their homeland at war.

And that included the First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church on Pine Avenue in Erie.

They held a special Christmas service Sunday afternoon open to their English-speaking friends and to the public.

The worship service featured the First Ukrainian Pentecostal Youth Choir.

The church re-told the story of the birth of Jesus Christ, reflecting on what the moment meant then and what it still means for Ukrainian Christians and for the entire world.

After the church service, as a gesture of hospitality, visitors were invited in to enjoy a Ukrainian Christmas dinner with the congregation.
