The Pennsylvania Asian Indian Community nonprofit team and members recently held their annual holiday fundraiser and donated to three organizations, presenting checks to Wilkes-Barre Mayor George Brown at City Hall.
The donations included a $1,100 check and 100 pairs of hats and gloves and 96 scarves for the Christmas brunch for special-needs kids, which was held at Genettis; $1,000 for the Wilkes-Barre Special Needs Playground fund, and donations of 60 throw blankets, hats and neck warmers for homeless shelters in Wilkes-Barre
Donors included Sunita Arora, Mona Pande, Neela Patel, Sonia Aulakh, Dr. Anu Singh, Dr. Leana Pande, Lalitha Sarada, Manju Verma, Dr. Srinivasan, Uma and anonymous donors.
