Erie Mayor-Elect Daria Devlin just returned from Harvard University after being one of only 34 Newly Elected Nationwide Invited to Participate in a Program Focused on the New Mayors’ First 100 Days.
Having just completed the program for new mayors with the Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University, Erie Mayor-Elect Daria Devlin said the main message was to use your time wisely and take these first 100 days seriously.
Devlin, who’s set to take over in just two weeks, has already announced some members who will be serving in the administration including what she calls the two most important positions, Chief of Staff and Chief of Police.
During that first week and moving through Devlin’s first term, she said the top priority is fixing the ongoing homelessness crisis.
For Devlin, the opportunity to serve all Erieites, in the city she’s always called home is one that she said she’s not taking for granted.
Devlin will officially be sworn in as the 49th Mayor of Erie on Jan. 5, becoming only the second woman to be elected for the position.
