The former Misericordia head coach takes over after longtime head coach Mark Duda announced his retirement after more than three decades leading the Falcons.
SCRANTON, Pa. — The Lackawanna College Athletics Department announcing Mark Ross has been named as the next head football coach for the Lackawanna College Falcons.
Ross is no stranger to Northeast PA. He was the first head coach at Misericordia University when the football program was established back in 2012, leading them to their first-ever bowl appearance in 2018.
Ross steps into the big shoes left by Mark Duda, who retired after more than three decades as head coach of the Falcons.
Ross will get right to work as the 2026 Falcons will compete as a four-year institution for the first time in program history in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
