Reading’s annual holiday parade will take place Nov. 22.
This year’s theme, The Gift of Giving Continues, invites the community to keep joy and kindness alive, the city said in a release.
The parade will celebrate the ongoing gift of compassion, unity and community pride, and shine a light on those holiday heroes who make giving a year-round tradition, the release said.
The city invites participants to showcase the joy of giving through creative floats, performances and decorations, bringing to life the warmth and magic of sharing with others.
The parade down Penn Street will start at 10 a.m. at 11th Street and end at Second Street. It will feature community groups, local organizations, schools and businesses coming together to spread holiday cheer.
“Join us in celebrating as the streets of downtown Reading light up with festive displays and holiday spirit,” the city said. “This is a cherished tradition for many in our community, and we welcome everyone to come together and experience the true meaning of the holiday season in our downtown.”
The deadline to sign up is Nov. 10.
