A 24-year-old man is dead following a shooting Wednesday in Allentown, authorities said.
Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio confirmed to lehighvalleylive.com the shooting happened at an apartment complex in the 100 block of North Eighth Street.
Jahlik R. Colon, of Temple, Pa., was found in the doorway of the building, Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan told lehighvalleylive.com Thursday morning.
Colon was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township, where he was pronounced dead at 6:12 p.m., the coroner said. His death was ruled a homicide by Buglio.
An autopsy is planned for later Thursday, when authorities are expected to release more information.
Holihan said two suspects have since been taken into custody.
Wednesday’s shooting remains under investigation by the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, Allentown Police Department and Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
