Gas truck rollover shuts down road in Moosic

A gas truck rolled over along Birney Avenue in Moosic Thursday morning.

MOOSIC, Pa. — A crash is causing some traffic troubles in part of Lackawanna County.

A gas truck rolled over along Birney Avenue in Moosic just before noon on Thursday.

Officials say the truck briefly caught fire before crews extinguished the flames.

A portion of Birney Avenue is shut down as fire crews from Moosic and Old Forge work to clear the wreck.

There is no word yet on whether anyone was injured.
