Weather Alert for potential of ice, particularly away from the lake shore from midday this afternoon to sunset. Winter Weather Advisory for Erie lake shore, including the city, for potential black ice this afternoon. In the meantime an Ice Storm Warning for areas south of I-90 to Meadville and east into Warren. There is a potential of up to 1/4” of ice in the areas affected by the warning. Travel restrictions begin at 10am for all the interstates with the ice potential. Mix may go to Rain here in Erie by late afternoon, but more likely after sunset everywhere else. May get some freezing of moisture late tonight as the precipitation diminishes this evening.
Looks dry for Saturday, and mainly rain for Sunday. Back to winter cold and lake effect for the beginning of next week.
