Mrs. Grace Grady White, age 90, wife of the late Scott Arnett White of Scranton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. White was born on October 30, 1935, in Florence County, a daughter of the late Willie Edward Grady and Geneva Freeman Grady. She was a lifelong and faithful member of Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. White loved God and her church and was known for her deep faith and trusting spirit.
For many years, Mrs. White owned her beauty shop where she worked as a hairdresser before retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing and spending time with her late beloved husband of 53 years, planting a garden, working with her flowers. She shared a special bond with her nephew and his wife, who lovingly cared for her during her later years.
Surviving are her nephew, Reuben White, and his wife, Carolyn White.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her sisters, Elma Grady, Annie Mae Knotts, and Mamie Lee White.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow in the Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
