Some nasty weather is headed our way here in New York. Rain, snow, and gusty winds are all on the way as a major storm system is set to move through the state, along with all that will be massive waves along the lakeshore of Lake Erie.

24 Foot High Waves Expected Along Lake Erie

The winds will be sweeping water from the Western point of Lake Erie toward the Eastern Shoreline and that will create massive waves over the next several days.

Heavy Lake Effect Snow Expected This Week In New York State

The same system that will bring those massive waves our way will also fire up the lake effect snow machine. There is a chance of heavy lake effect snow along the shorelines of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.

A Winter Storm warning is in place for parts of New York today through Monday morning. Snow and freezing rain will be an issue for the traditional snow belts along both Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.
