PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — Celebrating Kwanzaa this week, Philadelphians gathered to share traditions of the holiday.

Held at Mother Bethel AME Church, their vendor village gave community members an opportunity to support local black businesses.

“It is so important as people of African descent that we come together, that we stand together, that we are grounded in the principles that have held our people together for generations,” said Reverend Carolyn C. Cavaness.
