The Knightcap
Taking The Top Spot: The Golden Knights claimed 12 of 16 events on the men’s side, setting the tone early with a 1–2 finish in the 200 medley relay, as the A-team of Dylan Ray (Pinckney, Mich./Pinckney Community), Malachi Boyle (Knoxville, Tenn./Home Life Academy), Jakub Loboda, and Bryce Buret opened the night in 1:33.54.
Tandem Duo: Boyle and Ray carried that momentum individually, combining for a sweep of the breaststroke events — Boyle took the 100 (56.79) and 200 (2:06.71) while Ray placed second in both races and later added a win in the 400 IM (4:15.31).
Sprinting to Victories: Loboda highlighted the sprint group, winning the 50 free (20.96) and 100 butterfly (49.94), while Buret placed second in the 50 and third in the 100 free.
From Distance: Distance standout Manny Cisneros captured the 500 free (4:50.42) and placed second in the 1000 (10:10.40), and freshman Marcos RodrÃguez Fernández led a 1-2-3 sweep of the 100 back (52.05).
Record Setting: Gannon closed the night in style as Buret, Bengimin Ambrosiani (Seward, Alaska/Seward), Nickolas Ambrosiani (Seward, Alaska/Seward), and Poparcea touched first in the 200 free relay (1:24.52) to seal the meet. That time is a pool record.
