The University of Scranton’s office of health professions supports hundreds of the University’s pre-medical, pre-health, pre-medicine, pre-dental, pre-physician assistant, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy and pre-veterinary students. The office recently held an open house, where students had an opportunity to meet Nicole Ferentino, D.C., who was hired in June as director of pre-medical and pre-health professions, and explore the office’s programs. Shown from left are Dr. Ferentino, director of pre-medical and pre-health professions; Sophia Vanesko, Pittston, Health Professions Organization (HPO) secretary; Matthew Jasienski, Duryea, HPO service chair; David Banko, Wind Gap, HPO co-vice president of presentations; William Vinsko, Shavertown, HPO president; and Drew Mauriello, Duryea, HPO co-vice president of presentations.
