The sinkhole opened up along 5th Street Friday night in the borough.
BLAKELY, Pa. — A large sinkhole that opened up in Blakely has been repaired, officials say.
The 8 to 10-foot hole opened along 5th Street just before midnight on Friday. Crews even had to pull a car from the subsidence.
According to borough officials and the Department of Environmental Protection, a collapsed air shaft connected to a nearby mine caused the subsidence.
