Flooding has closed several roads in northwestern Pennsylvania, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) on Monday.

In Crawford, Erie, and Forest counties, heavy water has made some state roads impassable.

Crawford County

Fish Flats Road/Britton Run Road/Sparta Street (Route 1041) – Closed from the intersection with Garland Street in Centerville Borough to the intersection with White Road in Rome Township.

Mystic Park Road (Route 1011) – Closed from the intersection with Stroup Road in Steuben Township to the intersection with Rosenburg Road in Troy Township.

Erie County

Lovell Road/Elgin Road/Pleasant Street (Route 2018) – Closed from the intersection with Route 89 in Concord Township to the intersection with Main Street (Route 2019) in Elgin Borough.

French Creek Road (Route 2001) – Closed from the intersection with Flatt Road to the intersection with Route 6 in LeBoeuf Township.

 Forest County

Officials say the closures will last until the water recedes and repairs are made.

Drivers are urged to stay alert, obey warning signs, and never drive through flooded areas. Even shallow water can sweep vehicles off the road, and submerged roadbeds may be damaged.
