WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – A restaurant chain known for its all-you-can-eat dining experience will join the Lehigh Valley’s food scene in the new year.
A location of Texas de Brazil, a Brazilian-American steakhouse brand offering a wide selection of flame-grilled meats carved tableside, is coming soon to the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall Township, according to the mall’s online map and directory.
The new restaurant will occupy a lower-level space that previously housed a location of Ruby Tuesday.

A target opening date has not yet been announced, and mall and Texas de Brazil representatives did not immediately return messages seeking more information.
Additionally, Texas de Brazil’s online listing of locations includes the forthcoming Pennsylvania restaurant – dubbed “Lehigh” – with only “2026” in parentheses.
Founded in 1998 as a family-owned business, Texas de Brazil is an authentic churrascaria (steakhouse) featuring a continuous dining experience that “combines the flavors of Brazil with the hospitality of Texas,” according to a company description.
Texas de Brazil has expanded over the decades to become one of the largest Brazilian-American steakhouse brands in the world.
Today, there are 54 Texas de Brazil restaurants in 23 states, one in Puerto Rico and 10 international locations in countries such as Qatar, Panama and South Korea.

Texas de Brazil’s menu highlights a wide selection of flame-grilled meats, including picanha, garlic picanha, Brazilian sausage, barbecued pork ribs, leg of lamb, lamb chops, filet mignon, flank steak, chicken breast wrapped in bacon, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, spicy sirloin, parmesan-crusted pork loin, parmesan drumettes and beef ribs.
All meats are cooked the “gaucho way” – over an open flame with natural wood charcoal, and complimentary house-baked cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes and fried bananas are paired with each experience, according to the business’ website.
The brand invites guests to “savor traditional Brazilian churrasco cooking served with the generous spirit and hospitality that Texas is known for.”
Guests use place cards to communicate whether or not they’d like more of something.
When the card is turned green, carvers serve up generous portions of sizzling beef, pork and other meats.

When the card is turned red, carvers understand that guests wish to take a break.
“In southern Brazil, local cowboys called gauchos, prepare legendary feasts in a tradition known as churrasco,” reads a message on the restaurant’s website.
“They slow-roast meats over open flames and present an impressive display of seasonal greens, vegetable dishes and regional delicacies. The succulent meats are brought to each group’s table and carved in a show of skill and festive offering. At Texas de Brazil, we continue this treasured tradition.”
In addition to the flame-grilled meats carved tableside, Texas de Brazil features a gourmet 50-item salad area, with fresh vegetables, imported cheeses, charcuterie and other items such as capers, cornichons, marinated artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted jalapenos, pineapple carpaccio, Kalamata olives, Manchego cheese and prosciutto.
Other menu highlights include hot items such as jasmine rice, French fries, potatoes au gratin and sauteed mushrooms; and desserts such as Brazilian cheesecake, passion fruit mousse, crème brûlée and carrot cake.
Guests also can enjoy a wide array of specialty beer, wine and cocktails.

Texas de Brazil began with a dream in Porto Alegre, Brazil, according to an account on the restaurant’s website.
“Enjoying the rancher’s life and feasting in the rodizio style native to the region, one of our partners had visions of bringing churrasco culture north to the United States,” the account reads.
“He wanted to share this unique way of dining where guests indulge in a parade of meats and extravagant seasonal salad area. The destination for this restaurant was none other than cattle country…Texas. After all, the traditional steakhouse of Brazil blends perfectly with the service and class of the Lone Star State.”
In Whitehall, Texas de Brazil will occupy a lower-level Lehigh Valley Mall space that previously housed a Ruby Tuesday location, which closed in 2020.
It will join more than 20 other Lehigh Valley Mall restaurants and food stands, including other full-service spots such as The Cheesecake Factory, Bonefish Grill and Red Lobster, along with quick-service eateries such as Johnny’s Bagels & Deli, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Shake Shack.

Tenants that opened at the mall this year include Drink Fresh by Djurdjura, offering freshly prepared smoothies, juices, acai bowls, Dubai chocolate cups and more; Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard & Winery, offering award-winning wines, brick-oven pizza and more; and D’Colombia Restaurant & Bakery, offering authentic, freshly-prepared Colombian food.
A location of Dunkin’ – the country’s largest coffee and doughnuts brand – opened on Monday, Dec. 29, on the mall’s lower level near the escalators, while a location of Chick-fil-A – a quick-service restaurant company known for its freshly-prepared chicken selections – will cease operations at 2 p.m. Dec. 31.
The new Texas de Brazil location will operate roughly 16 miles west of Rios Brazilian Steakhouse, another restaurant offering an all-you-can-eat, Brazilian-style churrascaria experience, which moved in September from its 17-year-old spot in Nazareth to a larger location in downtown Easton.
