When Joe Bernard returned to his roots and was hired as Bethlehem Catholic’s head football coach last March, he promised the Golden Hawks would be a more disciplined team.
Saturday night’s season-opening 28-10 victory over visiting East Pennsboro at Bethlehem Area School District Stadium showed Bethlehem Catholic’s players are buying into what Bernard is selling.
