Trees for fish: Blue Marsh Lake seeks volunteers, Christmas trees for aquatic habitat | Reading Area

BERN TWP., Pa. – Blue Marsh Lake is once again looking to deck the lake with your Christmas tree.

The lake is looking for volunteers and Christmas trees for its “Trees for the Fish” initiative.

Trees can be dropped off through Jan. 12 at the boat launches off Route 183 and Brownsville Road.

Lake officials say the trees will be used to provide aquatic habitat for fish.

Volunteers can help put the trees in the lake on Jan. 17.
