Community Resources for Independence (CRI), a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, will host its First Annual Fire & Ice Winter Fest on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Erie Yacht Club. The event runs from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and aims to raise $40,000 to fund programs that enrich the lives of people with disabilities across northwestern Pennsylvania.

Food and drink samples from local wineries and distilleries

Raffles and fireworks presented by Rebich Investments

Attendees are encouraged to “wear your finest parka and bring your dancing boots” for this unique winter celebration.

Supporting Life-Enrichment Programs

All proceeds benefit CRI’s Center for Independent Living Life Enrichment Program, which provides opportunities for individuals with disabilities and older adults to participate in community activities, wellness programs, expressive arts, and peer support. The program also assists those at the end of life, ensuring dignity and comfort.

In 2024-2025, CRI:

Supported 650 individuals with disabilities across six counties

Participated in 386 community outreach efforts

Organized 105 events for people with disabilities
