BETHLEHEM, Pa. — ArtsQuest’s Peepsfest is back and better than ever at SteelStacks.

The sweet New Year’s party kicked off Tuesday and continues Wednesday.

The event is completely sold out.

“Well, we’ve got a lot of different nonprofits that are out here with different crafts and activities that kids can partake in. There’s music. We just really try to make it fun for kids that are small to maybe that are a little bit older so that everyone has something fun to do,” says Curt Mosel, chief operating officer of ArtsQuest.

“I’m here with my friends today, we’re probably trying to go to all the tables and try to find really good flavors of the Peeps,” says one young attendee.

The family-friendly event wraps up with the famous Peep drop.

“So our Peep, it’s 4-feet, 9-inches tall and it weighs 400 pounds, so there’s a lot of anticipation for it so folks will come in, they get to enjoy all the activities couple hours ahead of time. Our DJ will start up, get the crowd pumped, get very excited and then at 5:35, it’ll drop, and weather-permitting, fireworks will go off too and we’ll just get to celebrate a great new year together,” said Courtney Angle, corporate affairs specialist for Just Born.
