James Mario Stacchiotti
OBITUARY
James Mario Stacchiotti, of Old Forge, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025 at his home. He was 68 years of age.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Mario and Rita Sai Stacchiotti, he was a graduate of Old Forge High School and Johnson Technical Institute. Jim was the owner of the former Old Forge Glass Co., a well-known area establishment that was founded by his grandfather in the early 1900s. He was a former member of the Old Forge Sons of Italy, Gloria Lodge 815 and enjoyed watching football and baseball, especially his beloved NY Yankees.
Jim was an extrovert in every sense of the word. He drew energy from being around others and gave it back in abundance. A natural conversationalist, he had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen, welcomed, and valued through his gift for connection.
Surviving are his daughter, Jill Stacchiotti-Fisher (husband Atty. John) of Laflin and his son, Jim Stacchiotti of Old Forge; a grandson, Bradley Fisher; a brother, Michael Stacchiotti (partner Sheri) of New Milford, CT; a sister, Linda Mackarey (husband Joseph) of Moscow; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services by Rev. Walter E. Jenkins, C.S.C., Ed.D., pastor of Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Ferri & Gillette Funeral Services, LLC, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge. Interment will be in Old Forge Cemetery.
