WHITEHALL, Pa. – If you’re looking for a good scare, you can head out to the Whitehall Fire Department Haunted Parkway in Whitehall.
Every Friday and Saturday night this month take a haunted hayride… if you dare.
“It’s amazing. It’s fantastic. We’ve been doing this for so long. We just love it. We love the thrill,” said one woman 69 News spoke to.
For 30 years the Whitehall Fire Department has bringing the thrill.
Matt Matika is the director for the Haunted Parkway and said, “It takes about 45 minutes to go through when you’re in there each individual sees, they do their own kind of skit and they put on a show for all the people.”
A group of girls said, “I don’t think little monsters are going to scare me.”
Those “little monsters,” many are the same men and women who would come to your rescue in the case of fire. The hayride begins on Church Street in Whitehall and is designed and run by the Whitehall Fire Department.
“We start two months before we open so they’re in here for two months,” said Matika. “They set up their scene. They get their act together.”
All the proceeds go back to the fire department. Matika said, “Fire prevention stuff around for the events, all that kind of stuff.”
So, think you’re brave enough to take the trip?
