The Berks County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the following fugitives:
Manuel Ortiz Jr.
• Manuel Ortiz Jr., 28, whose last known address was in the 1200 block of North 11th Street, Reading, is wanted on charges of burglary, flight to avoid apprehension, robbery and simple assault.
Reading police said that on May 22, 2024, Ortiz got into an argument with a female, threw her on a bed and punched her several times, then took her cellphone. When the victim attempted to leave, Ortiz grabbed her by the throat. She eventually escaped and notified police. Police made contact with Ortiz, but he fled the scene. Ortiz also is wanted on burglary and flight to avoid apprehension charges filed Dec. 1, 2025, for another incident.
He is described as 5 feet 10 inches and 190 pounds.
Ian Lefever
• Ian Lefever, 33, whose last known address was in the 1300 block of Butter Lane, Exeter Township, is wanted on burglary charges.
Police said that on Nov. 17 he entered an Amity Township business without permission and stole $65,350 worth of items. He is also wanted on a Berks County adult probation warrant issued on Dec. 11.
He is described as 5 feet 8 inches and 160 pounds.
