BENSALEM, Pa. — A man hit several vehicles including two police patrol cars with a stolen U-Haul truck over the course of seven hours on Tuesday.

After the first crash in the morning Ryan Laskowski, 38, of Bristol Township fled onto Route 95, according to Bristol Township police. A warrant on charges of felony fleeing and eluding, theft of a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment, and multiple related motor vehicle offenses was issued.

He returned several times and over the course of seven hours struck the marked police vehicle and several other drivers. State police gave chase to Laskowski who purposely hit a a Bensalem Police Department patrol unit, a fence, and a fire hydrant near the Acme store on Bristol Road.

The pursuit came to an end when Laskowski crashed into another vehicle on Bristol Road near Grandview Avenue. He is under police guard on the Bristol warrant charges at a hospital and will be formally arraigned upon his release. Additional charges are expected from Bensalem and State Police.

NJ DOT’s Electronic Sign Safety Messages December 2025

The NJ Department of Transportation has brought back huumorus safety messages to its electronic signs all over the state for the holidays.They will appear in partnership with the NJ State Police Office of Homeland Security through Jan. 5, 2026.

The messages run in rotation seven days a week from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. on signs all around the state except when the signs are reporting incidents, construction, planned special events, or during a weather activation.
