A horse was rescued after falling into a creek in Ruscombmanor Township on Wednesday afternoon.
One of the animals at Hobby Horse Ranch on Hartz Road reportedly fell through the ice into a creek, according to emergency reports.
A neighbor noticed the horse and called emergency services shortly after 3 p.m.
Initial reports said the horse fell through the ice into a pond, but emergency crews said the horse was found lying in a small creek.
Water rescue personnel were called to the scene. They tried to remove the horse with a skid loader, but weren’t making progress.
V&M Towing Service in Ontelaunee Township was contacted and brought a rotator tow truck to remove the horse. The horse was removed from the waterway and was lying down in a nearby field at about 4:12 p.m.
