The Lackawanna County Children’s Library celebrated its first Noon Year’s Eve on Wednesday, giving kids an opportunity to welcome 2026 even if they didn’t stay up until midnight. The free event at the 520 Vine St. library included story time, a dance party, noisemakers, sparkling juice and a countdown to noon on a television screen.
