CUMRU TWP., Pa. – For anyone looking to start the new year with some fresh air, Pagoda Pacers will host a “First Day Hike” Thursday morning.

It starts at the Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center in Cumru Township.

It’s about a 2-mile hike through the forest. Parts of the trail are steep and uneven, so organizers say participants should wear layers and hiking shoes.

The hike starts at 8:30 a.m.

Registration is required.
