DENVER (KDVR) — Four suspects in a burglary case in Erie have been arrested, and police are crediting a homeowner’s quick thinking for the quick outcome.
Police said the incident is believed to be connected to additional crimes reported earlier this week.

The Erie Police Department said it was alerted to a ‘burglary in action “suspicious incident” around 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday on Quarry Circle in the Colliers Hill neighborhood.
The caller told police that a person in a mask tried to get in through the front door, which was locked. Police said they checked the area and found a suspect vehicle within minutes.
Police said officers conducted a high risk traffic stop near Pinecliff Drive and County Road 3, leading to the arrest of four people inside the vehicle. The department said it is recommending the following charges to the District Attorney:
Attempted Second-Degree Burglary
Conspiracy to Commit Burglary
Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary
Possession of Burglary Tools
Providing False Identification to Law Enforcement
Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance
Officers found masks, gloves and other burglary tools inside the vehicle, the department said.

“The Erie Police Department would like to thank those who came forward and contacted the police. This case highlights the importance of residents remaining alert and reporting suspicious activity promptly, as timely information can prevent crimes and keep our neighborhoods safe,” the department said in a press release.
The investigation is ongoing as police believe the incident is connected to other crimes reported earlier in the week. Anyone with information regarding the investigation should contact Erie police and reference case number 25-3523.
