As fire crews worked to extinguish a house fire in Northeast Philly on Thursday morning, one person was seen being removed from the scene on a stretcher.

NBC10’s cameras were at the scene along the 10000 block of Nandina Way in the Somerton section of Northeast Philadelphia, at about 1 a.m. on Thursday as crews worked to extinguish a house fire there.

Contacted early Thursday, fire officials did not immediately discuss how many people may have been injured in this incident but NBC10’s cameras caught one person being removed from the scene on a stretcher by medical professionals.

As of about 6:40 a.m. on Thursday, officials could only confirm that a fire at the home began around 12:35 a.m. and it was placed under control by about 1:35 a.m.

Officials also did not immediately provide information on the extent of damages due to this fire or say what may have caused the flames.

But, officials said, an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
