On the January 4 edition of Sunday Night Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Baltimore Ravens in what will be the final matchup of the 2025 NFL regular season. Kickoff at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh’s North Shore is slated for 8:20 p.m. ET. You’ll be able to watch the action live on NBC or stream it live on Peacock.Â
As always, this Sunday Night Football showdown will be preceded by Football Night in America, NBC Sports’ weekly pregame show previewing the night’s action and looking back on the week in NFL news and highlights.Â
What to watch for during the Ravens vs. Steelers Sunday Night Football game on January 4
In this winner-take-all matchup for AFC North supremacy, all eyes will be on the quarterbacks. Hampered by injuries, Lamar Jackson, who’s been sidelined with a debilitating back injury, will be a game-time decision. If he can go though, the 28-year-old two-time MVP will be eager to prove he still has what it takes to compete for a Super Bowl — which the Ravens were originally touted as favorites to win, prior to starting their rollercoaster of a season that’s seen Jackson sidelined for numerous games.Â
Should “Action Jackson” get the greenlight, one comfort will be knowing Derrick Henry is there to help him carry the load. Though his stats could be higher, had he not been on the bench in multiple games late down the stretch, Henry still ranks second in touchdowns (16), third in yards (1,469) and fourth in carries (287) among NFL running backs. If Baltimore wants to avenge their Week 14 loss to Pittsburgh at M&T Bank Stadium, feeding “King Henry” the rock early and often is not a bad start. If the proof’s in the pudding, look no further than his four TDs on the road at Lambeau against the Green Bay Packers.

For Aaron Rodgers, who’s 14 years Jackson’s senior, No. 8 is out to crystalize his unfinished legacy in the pantheon of former all-time greats (and his peers), Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. That, however, as we all know, is easier said than done, even on one’s home turf. Despite his continued methodical operation of Arthur Smith’s offense, Rodgers will be without his security blanket in DK Metcalf, after the NFL slapped the star wide receiver with a two-game suspension for swiping at the face of a Detroit Lions fan during Pittsburgh’s 29-24 win in Week 16.
The absence of Metcalf left a palpable void even Rodgers — a four-time MVP — couldn’t overcome in the Steelers’ 13-6 upset loss to Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns in Week 17, as Rodgers was limited to 168 passing yards and a season-low 4.3 yards per attempt. Still, no one enjoys proving the critics and naysayers wrong than Rodgers, and this Sunday Night Football winner-take-all matchup on NBC and Peacock is the perfect place for him to do just that. Â
