John G. Rohan

John G. Rohan, age 79, of Erie, passed away on June 16, 2016. Born in Erie on February 12, 1937, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Knapik) Rohan. John is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Judith (Reiter) Rohan, and three sons Joel (Sara) Rohan of Atlanta, GA, Kevin (Tish) Rohan of Wexford, PA, and Adam (Mary Ann) Rohan of Wexford, PA. He is also survived by his sister Kathy ‘Moe’ (Burt) Allison of Arizona, brothers-in-law Andy Shufran of Erie and Joe O’Neil of Erie and sister-in-law Pamela Reiter of Allison Park. Nothing was more important to John than family and he especially loved large family gatherings. He will be missed dearly by grandchildren Ethan, Benjamin, Emelia, AJ, and Luke Rohan; nephews and nieces Bernie (Chris) Kieklak, Karen O’Donnell, Jerry Kieklak, Patrick (Jan) O’Neil, Jeffrey O’Neil, Debra (Robert) Shufran, Melanie (Ralph Edes) Shufran and Andrew Thomas (Meg) Shufran. John is also survived by many dear great-nieces & great-nephews. John is preceded in death by his sisters Rose Marie O’Neil and Anna Marie Shufran of Erie and his niece Erin Olson of Erie. John was a longtime Industrial Salesman, and a volunteer coach for many years with football, wrestling, and soccer. He enjoyed hunting, reading, and playing cards with friends from Holy Rosary Parish where he was a longtime parishioner. A private Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sts.
